Sand Creek Studios was established in 2003, by artist Kathy Kwiatkowski. Sand Creek is nestled on the residential property, near Grand Valley State University. I call my studio, Sand Creek Studios largely because of my last name being difficult for some people to pronounce. I've been an artist since age 4. The art journey has taken twists and turns along the way. Sand Creek Studios has many murals inside, which were inspired by my son, Greg. In 2004 I graduated from Kendall College of Art & Design with Honors in illustration. I learned you can begin life where you left off without skipping a beat. I choose to paint in a palette of pinks, blues and purples and prefer colored pencil along with acrylic and markers. I like to paint in watercolors and oils, as well. I like to think of my work as "Escapism Art" from all the chaos and turmoil in the world. One can look at one of my landscapes and lose their self in pretty scenery. One of my angels appeared on the cover of Strut Magazine 2004. I'm willing to take commissions.
